Rolling Over

Ava rolled over for the first time today all on her own! She is definitely an active baby and has been kicking her legs like crazy when on her tummy to the point that she lunges herself forward or to the side a bit. Today she must've been determined to get somewhere. We were so excited about it and almost didn't believe it so we put her back where she was to see if she'd do it again. And she did it two more times! The third time she did it so fast she scared herself and started crying. We got it on video but don't have an image yet.

Here's what babycenter has to say about rolling over:

Your baby may be able to kick herself over, from her tummy to her back, as early as age 2 to 3 months. It may take her until she's about 5 or 6 months to flip from back to front, though, because she needs stronger neck and arm muscles for that maneuver.

Ava is a month and half old so it sounds like she's rolling over a little earlier than some babies...cool.
