We took Ava to Bellingrath Gardens and Home last weekend for the Magic Christmas in Lights. She loves Christmas lights and everytime we drive at night and she has a chance to see decorated homes she gets a huge smile on her face and says, "more, more." So we knew she'd have a good time. Our camera batteries died and for the most part it was too dark for the video camera too but Ava kept us so busy that pictures were nearly impossible anyway.

It looks like it was all very pretty, no wonder she liked it so much! It is so weird for me to see Christmas lights and no snow.
We cut down our tree this year at a tree farm about a mile down the road from us, you go out and choose your own in the fields, cut it down and drag it back to be shook off and tied up. It's a lot of fun, cold, but fun. Anyway...on the ride home, all 2 minutes of it, there was a house all decorated for Christmas and they had blow up palm trees in their yard strung with the Christmas lights! It was hilarious for us, being in Michigan, a foot of snow on the ground and freezing cold, staring at lights on fake palm trees! Then a couple of days later we see an animated dolphin made out of wire and Christmas lights, making a diving motion wearing a santa hat on someones lawn! Not something you see very often around here. Very funny stuff!
