We made our way to Elberta, AL on Saturday for the sausage festival. It worked out prefectly too. Anyone with a small baby knows you pretty much have to plan events around naps and meals. We were able to leave after Ava's morning nap, had a little milk on the way and arrived just in time to grab some lunch. It was packed and we were lucky to find some chairs under a shaded tree. I didn't have a table or a tray for Ava to eat from so I improvised with her place mat draped over her and the front of her stroller. She didn't care.
She had a blast strolling around watching everyone, listening to and bouncing to the live music, and trying to grab a wind chime while mommy waited in line to buy funnel cake. Of course she was too small for any of the kiddie rides, but had a great time watching everyone else ride them. As soon as the dragon roller coaster took off she was laughing, kicking her feet and waving to all the kids (There were too many people in the way for me to get a picture of that one). After feeling a few sprinkles we decided it was time to go and a very good thing too. We were in the car maybe five minutes and it started down pouring. The ride home lined up with Ava's afternoon nap so just about the time it started raining she was already out and sleeping like a rock.
