I can't believe Ava is three months old already. Here's what babycenter has to say about milestones at this age. I colored the ones she can do in yellow:
Mastered Skills (most kids can do):
- Laughs (very rarely right now, she'd rather squeal. Maybe we're not funny enough for her...)
- Holds head steady
- recognizes your face and scent
- Squeals, gurgles, coos
- recognizes your voice
- does mini-pushups (Ava is a pro at these and doesn't stay on her stomach for longer than a couple seconds anymore. She'll raise her head and chest and then roll over.)
Advanced Skills (A few kids can do):
- Turns head toward loud noises
- Can bring hands together and may bat at toys (Ava loves to play with her hands and munch on them or even just clasp them together like a little lady. She's learning cause effect and seems pleasantly surprised when she hits a toy but she'll also purposely grab toys too.
- Can roll over
Ava is also trying to sit up on her own now and can last a few seconds.
